Modern Technologies
People in contemporary world can hardly imagine their lives without machines. Every day either a new gadget is invented or an old one is improved. Different people appreciate new inventions differently. Some suppose that sophisticated gadgets are really useful and necessary, while others find them absolutely awful as they influence people badly. As for me, I am pretty sure that gadgets make people`s lives easier.
Firstly, they do all kinds of dirty and hard work, as cleaning. Secondly, devices can save a lot of time as well as storage space. For instance, a computer disk can contain the same amount of information as several thick books. So, machines help people in different spheres.
However, opponents of this point of view are definitely sure that gadgets affect people negatively. People are reluctant to work due to the influence of machines. People become lazy and disorganized. They just expect their latest gadgets to do everything instead of them. Moreover, according to scientists, a great number of widespread devices produce radiation that can cause serious health problems. Furthermore, more and more people are becoming addicted to their modern gadgets, for instance computers, TVs or mobile phones. So, they neglect their home obligations, work or school and spend all their spare time in front of a laptop screen or a TV-set.
In conclusion, I firmly believe that in spite of all drawbacks, gadgets have, their benefits are much more considerable, as they save people`s time and let them enjoy life.

Mass Media
Mass Media plays a very important role in modern society. The most important means of media include radio, television, newspapers, magazines, and Internet. These sources inform, educate and somehow entertain us. My favourite media resource is Internet. It represents all sources in one. If I want to read the daily news, I go online. If I want to read magazines about things that interest me, I address Internet. When I want to listen to the radio or to watch a new film, again I turn on my computer. Basically, Internet is the media resource which has successfully displaced all other means from use. If I had no Internet at all, I would choose television. This is another media resource which I find engaging and useful. The programs I like watching are Animal Planet and BBC Wildlife Specials. These programs are not only interesting but also educational. They help me to improve my English skills and to learn more about animals and their habitat. I also like watching comedy films and some soap operas. Radio is another media source I like. I listen to music almost all day long. In the morning I turn on my CD-player and tune into Europa Plus radio channel. During the day I carry my MP3-player around. When online, I can always turn on any radio I like. Sometimes I turn on the BBC channel to hear the world news in English. Speaking about printed press, I should say that my parents are subscribed to a local newspaper. They also buy some magazines from time to time. My mum likes reading “Elle” and “Cosmopolitan” magazines and my dad usually buys magazines about motor and racing cars.

According to the place, it can be outdoor and indoor. Advertising on TV, radio and in newspapers is, without any doubt, something that everyone is familiar with. Advantages and disadvantages The main advantage of advertising is that it helps to generate sales. Thanks to advertising we learn about new products and services. On the other side, advertisement is beyond our control. We cannot fully eliminate it, because it is everywhere. Role of advertisement in our life It is not just an economic role advertising plays in our life. It influences on and forms our views and preferences. Vologda
Vologda is a city and the administrative, cultural, and scientific center of Vologda Oblast, Russia, located on the Vologda River. The city serves as a major transport hub of the Northwest of Russia. Vologda has been classified by the Ministry of Culture of Russian Federation as a historical city, one of the forty-one in Russia and one of only three in Vologda Oblast.224 buildings in Vologda have been officially recognized as cultural heritage monuments. After the dissolution of the Vologda Soviet, the City Duma was established. The first Duma elections took place on March 20, 1994. This first Duma only had six seats, but in 1995, after the next elections, it was expanded to thirty deputies. On July 25, 1996, the City Duma adopted the main city document: the Charter of Vologda. On October 6, 1996, the first mayoral elections in the history of Vologda took place. Alexey Yakunichev was elected and became the head of the city. His term ended in 2008.In 2003, the construction of a ring road started. Before that, the М8 highway connecting Moscow and Arkhangelsk run through the city center causing congestion. After the completion, the ring road connects the highways А114 (Vologda – Novaya Ladoga), Р5 (Vologda – Medvezhyegorsk), and М8 (Moscow – Arkhangelsk). On August 25, 2005, the City Duma approved the new Charter of Vologda. Even though the deputies introduced more than four hundred amendments and the document increased more than twice in volume as compared with the Charter of 1996, the changes were relatively minor. On October 12, 2008, Yevgeny Shulepov was elected to be the new City Head.

Kirillo-Belozersky Monastery
Kirillo-Belozersky Monastery – Orthodox monastery of the Russian Church, located in the North of Russia, on the shores of Lake Siverskoye, within the modern town of Kirillov, Vologda region. The monastery was founded by monks Cyril Belozersky – a follower of St. Sergius of Radonezh and Ferapont Belozersky in 1397. It was originally erected Cathedral of the Assumption by artel of Rostov artists. In the XVI century, next to it there was a small Ivanovsky monastery. At the time, the monastery was an outpost of the Moscow state in enemy lands of the Novgorod Republic. Kirillo-Belozersky Monastery was a large feudal landowner. In the XV-XVII centuries, carried on an extensive trade, especially salt and fish. In the XV-XVII centuries, the monastery served as a place of imprisonment of persons of secular and ecclesiastical feudal nobility. Later the monastery was enriched, expanded and despite the great fire in 1557 was the largest stone structure, second only to the Trinity-Sergius Monastery. n 1764, by decree of Catherine II the monastery was deprived of farmers and farmland. In 1776, from the settlement of the monastery was founded the town of Kirillov. From this moment begins the gradual decline of the monastery. In 1770, on the occasion of the construction of the proposed project of Bazhenovsky palace courtyard Kirillovskoe in the Kremlin was abolished, and then in 1776 was completely dismantled. The complex of St. Cyril-Belozersky monastery includes a large ensemble of the Dormition monastery and Ivanovo (“Old Town”), “New Town” area and unpreserved Ostrog fortress between them. The monastery is surrounded by walls with monumental towers, decorated with patterns made of brick. In the refectory of the House at the 1519 Church there is the Museum of Icons, which has a large collection of icons. In 1604, the priest of St. Sophia Cathedral in Vologda, painter Anisim Samsonov painted 20 images of the Mother of God and 20 images of St. Cyril for Kirillov Belozersky monastery. To this day, the collection has almost all the iconostasis of the Assumption Cathedral in its modern construction, which is a unique fact in the history of Russian art. Ancient icons of the iconostasis have long been separate. Of the 60 survivors 33 are icons from Kirillov, and the rest – in the Russian Museum, the Tretyakov Gallery and the Museum of Andrei Rublev. In early April 2009, the last of the icons were returned to Kirillov. Since 1997, St. Cyril Belozersky Museum is included in the list of the most valuable objects of cultural heritage of the peoples of the Russian Federation.

Concrete mixer
A concrete mixer (also commonly called a cement mixer) is a device that homogeneously combines cement, aggregate such as sand or gravel, and water to form concrete. A typical concrete mixer uses a revolving drum to mix the components. For smaller volume works portable concrete mixers are often used so that the concrete can be made at the construction site, giving the workers ample time to use the concrete before it hardens. An alternative to a machine is mixing concrete or cement by hand. This is usually done in a wheelbarrow; however, several companies have recently begun to sell modified tarps for this purpose. The concrete mixer was invented by Columbus industrialist Gebhardt Jaeger.
A variant of standard concrete transportation is the concrete or cement mixing trailer. These small versions of a transit-mix truck are used to supply short loads of concrete. These cart-away style trailers have a concrete mixing drum with a capacity of between 1-yard and 1.75 yards. Cartaways are usually pulled behind a pick-up truck and batched from smaller batching systems. The mixing trailer system is popular with rental yards and building material locations, who use them to supply ready-mix to their regular customer base.
Today's market increasingly requires consistent homogeneity and short mixing times for the industrial production of ready-mix concrete, and more so for precast/prestressed concrete. This has resulted in refinement of mixing technologies for concrete production. Different styles of stationary mixers have been developed, each with its own inherent strengths targeting different parts of the concrete production market. The most common mixers used today fall into 3 categories: Twin-shaft mixers, Vertical axis mixers (Pan and Planetary mixers) and Drum mixers (Reversing Drum and Tilting Drum)

The term "marketing mix" was coined in 1953 by Neil Borden in his American Marketing Associationpresidential address. However, this was actually a reformulation of an earlier idea by his associate,James Culliton, who in 1948 described the role of the marketing manager as a "mixer ofingredients", who sometimes follows recipes prepared by others, sometimes prepares his ownrecipe as he goes along, sometimes adapts a recipe from immediately available ingredients, and atother times invents new ingredients no one else has tried. A prominent marketer, E. JeromeMcCarthy, proposed a Four P classification in 1960, which has seen wide use.
Elements of the marketing mix are often referred to as the "Four 'P's", a phrase used since the1960's
Product.It is a tangible good or an intangible service that is mass produced or manufactured on alarge scale with a specific volume of units. Intangible products are service based like the tourismindustry & the hotel industry or codes-based products like cellphone load and credits. Typicalexamples of a mass produced tangible object are the motor car and the disposable razor. A lessobvious but ubiquitous mass produced service is a computer operating system. Packaging alsoneeds to be taken into consideration. Every product is subject to a life-cycle including a growthphase followed by an eventual period of decline as the product approaches market saturation. Toretain its competitiveness in the market, product differentiation is required and is one of thestrategies to differentiate a product from its competitors.
Price The price is the amount a customer pays for the product. The business may increase ordecrease the price of product if other stores have the same product.Place – Place represents the location where a product can be purchased. It is often referred to asthe distribution channel. It can include any physical store as well as virtual stores on the Internet.Promotion represents all of the communications that a marketeer may use in the marketplace.Promotion has four distinct elements: advertising, public relations, personal selling and salespromotion. A certain amount of crossover occurs when promotion uses the four principal elementstogether, which is common in film promotion. Advertising covers any communication that is paid for,from cinema commercials, radio and Internet adverts through print media and billboards. Publicrelations are where the communication is not directly paid for and includes press releases,sponsorship deals, exhibitions, conferences, seminars or trade fairs and events. Word of mouth isany apparently informal communication about the product by ordinary individuals, satisfiedcustomers or people specifically engaged to create word of mouth momentum. Sales staff oftenplays an important role in word of mouth and Public Relations (see Product above).
Any organization, before introducing its products or services into the market; conducts a marketssurvey. The sequence of all 'P's as above is very much important in every stage of product life cycleIntroduction, Growth, Maturity and Decline.
In recent years the addition of a 5th P has become common place. The 5th P being people. This isto represent the people who you are targeting but also the people who will physically conduct eachpart of the campaign. Some people even go up to as many as 10 P's.More recently, three more Ps have been added to the marketing mix namely People, Process andPhysical Evidence. This marketing mix is known as Extended Marketing Mix.
