РАЗДЕЛ 211 - СИСТЕМЫ КОНДИЦИОНИРОВАНИЯ ВОЗДУХА, ОТОПЛЕНИЯ,
ОХЛАЖДЕНИЯ, ВЕНТИЛЯЦИИ, ХОЛОДНОГО И ГОРЯЧЕГО ВОДОСНАБЖЕНИЯ

1. Air Conditioning, heating and ventilation system.
The purpose of this specification is to define the basis of design of the heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems to serve the buildings of the thermal Power Plants.
1.1. Standard and codes.
Standards and Codes (latest Revision issued at the signing date of the contract) shall be applied in Design, fabrication and testing
Carrier - Handbook of air conditioning system design.
ASHRAE - American Society of Heating Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers
Handbook of fundamental
IEC - International Electro technical Commission.
SMACNA - Sheet Metal and Air Condition Contractors National Association
• NFPA - National Fire Protection Association
NFPA 90A - Standard for the installation of air conditioning and Ventilating system.
• ISO - International standard organization
ISO/40 Measuring of acoustic inside rooms and for framing Elements
• ARI - Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Institute
• AFI - American Filtering Institute
• ADC - Air Diffusion Council
• EN8086 - Standard for Air Handling Unit construction - Materials
• ASTM - American Society for Testing and Materials (Material specification)

Other equivalent standard as approved by Engineer.
Site condition.
Air conditioning, heating and ventilation system shall be used to serve the are a sand types as tabulated herein below.

Note 1: Cooling system to be considered. The maximum summer temperature shall be 43 degrees Centigrad for design of cooling system.
A/C - Air conditioning
H : Heating
V : ventilation
"A" Type: Control rooms (central, substation , offices of water treatment plant, liquid fuel oil handling),computer rooms, relay rooms , shift engineer rooms and offices of control room, offices of administration building, I&C laboratory, sampling room, clinic, fuel truckdriver, guard tower, training building, gatheringhall.
"B" Type: Switchgear rooms, fire station, store, chemical storage room, HVAC machine room, locker room, water and waste water treatment buildings, battery rooms, battery charger rooms.
Note: The pressurization for battery rooms & battery charger rooms shall be negative.
"C" Type: Turbine House, compressor room, H2 plant, Diesel/Generator house, auxiliary CW Pumphouse.
"D" Type: Main & Auxiliary Boiler houses(for indoor), Main CW Pumphouse, fuel oil pumphouse.
"E" Type: Workshop
"F" Type: Canteen and restaurant
"G" Type: Chemical Laboratory
"H" Type: Guard house, security house
"I" Type: Cable flats, Toilets, Central heating mechanical room
The Contractor shall supply the followings:
a) The air conditioning system with all ancillary equipment (Air handling equipment, ducting, gratings, dampers, cooling, heating coils, etc.)
b) Hot water supply system in areas "A" to "I"
c) Heating, cooling and ventilation equipment, properly insulated, supply and return ducting as well as piping
d) Supporting (equipments, ducts, pipes, etc), wherever is necessary.
Notes:
- A minimum quantity of outside air shall be provided at the rate of 0.00125m3/sec per m2 of floor area in each room (Outside fresh air to be introduced in the supply ducting by air handling unit).
- The air exchange to be provided according to Ashrae standard.
- The air conditioning of all electronic equipment rooms shall be interlocked with the fire detection system such that the air conditioning is switched off on detection of fire
