Subject of professional activities

The subjects of PhD graduates professional activities can be:

Earth and its main geospheres - lithosphere, hydrosphere, atmosphere, biosphere, their composition, constitution, evolution and characteristics;
natural, natural and economic, anthropogenic, industrial, recreational, social, land systems and structures on the global, national, regional and local levels, their investigation, monitoring and projected growth;
management of natural resources;
geoinformation systems; land use planning, project development and prognoses;
environment impact assessment of all the anthropogenic activities forms; education and public enlightenment.

tYPES of professional activities

scientific research in the field of Earth Science;
teaching activities on the field of higher education educational programs.

2. Requirements to the PhD program uptake results:

The program is aimed to the training of fully qualified academic and teaching personnel, forming and development of their competencies as consistent with occupational standards; final unique academic research, which makes a contribution to the creation, amplification and development of scientific knowledge. As a result of PhD program uptake the PhD student should form the following basic, general professional and professional competencies:
